Coach Douglas takes over as the Director of Operations and Player Development after spending the last 5 years as a collegiate baseball coach, hitting coordinator, and director of strength and conditioning. Douglas is also the personal hitting coach for Jackson Glenn (Pittsburgh Pirates Organization) and Caleb Farmer (Washington Nationals Organization). In three years at Vernon College (NJCAA Division I) coach Douglas helped develop and produce 1 NJCAA All-American hitter, a First Team NTJCAC hitter, and 3 Second Team NTJCAC hitters while also assiting in the placement of 11 NCAA Division I players. The 2024 offense led the NTJCAC in hitting overall (.337) and in conference play (.319).

Prior to his time in Vernon, Douglas spent 2 years on staff at Colorado Mesa University (NCAA Division II). During his time there he was a part of a staff that started the season 14-4 before it was shortened due to COVID-19 the following year the Mavericks boasted an impressive record of 42-7, collecting Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Champion honors and a birth into the South Central Regional.

Coach Douglas had a successful collegiate career that preceded his coaching career. He was a two-year starter at Odessa College (NJCAA Division I) before transferring to Colorado Mesa University (NCAA Division II) where he started for two years as well. During his career he played in 217 games, three regional championships, and two NCAA Division II Word Series tournaments.
